May has been a busy month for the Assuric Team! We're excited have released changes to support Assuric as a formalised eQMS solution, alongside various AI integrations and improvements, including for NHS suppliers and the Digital Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT).
Controlled Document Management
We've extended the functionality provided by Assuric docs to further support organisations looking to implement robust quality management systems (QMS) for documentation in their workspace!
Alongside pre-existing functionality for viewing a granular edit history, viewing change diffs, and snapshotting a version-numbered history, documents can now additionally be marked as 'controlled' :
A controlled document will be require a DocumentId and be required to undergo a formalised review and approval cycle when issuing minor or major versions:
Documents can also be assigned granular permissions for which users can edit the document.
Reviewers, approvers, and document permissions can be assigned either to individuals or to specific roles within your organisation.
You can configure notifications for phases of a document's review cycle, to receive updates in-platform or via Email or Slack:
The document will be locked until the review cycle is completed.
A summary of changes and clear 'diff' of changes can also be viewed:
NB: Controlled documents are currently in early-release. If you'd like access to controlled document functionality then please reach out and let us know!
Inline Document Suggestions
Assuric Docs now also supports leaving inline "suggestions", similar to other first-class editors like Google Docs:
Suggestions will appear inline against a 'diff' of their changes, and can be reviewed and commented against by other stakeholders.
DSPT Questionnaire Assistant
May and June are "renewal" season for NHS suppliers who must re-submit their DSPT by the deadline of June 30th. To assist in the process, we've developed a custom AI assistant specialised to assist in completion of the DSPT questionnaire!
If the DSPT submission for your organisation is yet to be renewed, a prompt to complete your questionnaire is automatically flagged across your dashboard. You can also Ask Assuric e.g: "help me complete the DSPT questionnaire.
The assistant will generate answers for the 76 DSPT questions based on the full context of the compliance posture within your workspace:
All suggested answers come alongside citations so you can exactly which evidence item or clause within a policy prompted the response:
Answers can then be quickly copied into the NHS portal. Please note: AI can make mistakes - always review citations and double-check content before submitting anything to the DSPT portal.
You can read more about the tool in our guide here.
AI Risk Register Integrations
Ask Assuric can now query and provide answers to questions in with full knowledge of your risk register and risk controls.
Improvements to published hazard logs
Publishing hazard logs is an excellent way to share the full clinical risk management story for a product (or set of products) alongside documentation on the Trust Page.
A unique link allows stakeholders to view a names set of specific hazard log versions directly in a browser, similar to they appear in your dashboard - including associated evidence items:
We've added additional download options to allow exporting large hazard log sets in commonly used .xlsx file formats - including those used widely in the NHS - either individually or as a bundled zip.
What else is coming?
We're hard at work making the Assuric platform as good as it can be! AI suggestions when authoring documents, alongside an enterprise-ready MCP server and full support for FDA-compliant eSignatures are all in the works.
As always, if you have any feedback or suggestions on the platform then let us know!
