Get Started with the DSPT AI Tool
The new DSPT Assessment tool in Assuric makes completing your DSPT (Data Security and Protection Toolkit) assessment faster using AI-powered assistance to provide suggested answers from the information in your workspace.
Here’s how a quick guide on how to use it to help complete your 2025-2026 DSPT questionnaire👇
Each question comes with an AI-generated answer. To help you verify, citations show exactly where the answer was sourced from in your documentation.
Step 1: Log in to your Assuric workspace.
Step 2: Click the Complete your DSPT assessment button.
You’ll see this new button - a prompt reminding you to finish your DSPT submission before the deadline (June 30th).
Step 3: Select the Complete button.
This starts the process of filling in the DSPT form, you can also start this by prompting the Ask Assuric AI chat to help fill in your DSPT questionnaire.
Step 4: AI Generates Answers
The DSPT Assessment tool will open the questionnaire assistant, automatically pulling in the DSPT questionnaire. This is where the AI starts answering DSPT questions and will generate answers using your workspace’s documentation.
NB: the answers are only as good as the information in your workspace! We'd recommend updating your policies and relevant docs before running the questionnaire assistant.
Step 5: Check generated answers and review citation sources for accuracy
Each question comes with an AI-generated answer. To help you verify, citations show exactly where the answer was sourced from in your documentation.
You can open the source and look for highlighted sections (in purple) that show the reference, the citation will also explain exactly where the information came from ⬇️
Step 6: Edit or regenerate answers as needed.
Not happy with an answer? Regenerate just that one, or update all answers in the set. You can also edit answers directly in the questionnaire.
‼️ Step 7: Check all answers and sources before submitting.
Please note: AI can make mistakes - always review citations and double-check content before submitting anything to the DSPT portal.
Step 8: Copy answers into the DSPT portal.
Sadly the DSPT questionnaire does not have an API available, so you still have to copy your answers into the portal. Once satisfied with your answer, hit the copy button and paste your answer directly into the corresponding question in the DSPT portal.
