Assuric Release Notes - September 2026

MCP Write-back, Hazard Archiving, Hazard Log Graphs, Document Editor improvements and a new look!

September brings one of our most requested features yet. Your AI assistant can now do real work in your Assuric workspace and hazard log, not just answer questions about it.

Ask Assuric AI (and MCP) Write-back

Back in June we launched the Assuric MCP connector, letting you query your workspace from Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and other AI clients. This month, the MCP can now write back to your hazard log.

This is an incredibly powerful way to take the heavy lifting out of clinical risk management. For example, you can:

  • Import an existing Excel or CSV hazard log. Drop in a spreadsheet and ask your assistant to create the matching hazards, causes and controls in Assuric.

  • Draft hazards from a document. Turn a product spec, user story or incident report into proposed hazards and controls.

  • Make bulk updates, such as linking controls, updating statuses or tidying up wording across many hazards at once.

We've built write-back with safety first:

  • You choose the access. When you connect, you pick Viewer (read-only) or Editor (can make changes) access. You can review or revoke it at any time in your Assuric settings.

  • Always asks first. The MCP always prompts you to review and confirm before any change is written.

  • Never deletes. Write-back can't delete anything. Items can only ever be archived, so nothing is lost.

  • Scoped to your privileges. The MCP can only do what your user account can do in Assuric.

  • Fully audited. Every change is recorded in the activity log against your name, with MCP shown as the source.

Hazard Archiving

We've improved how archiving looks and works across the platform. Hazards, causes and controls can all be archived, and when you archive one, Assuric shows exactly what it's linked to and lets you choose how to handle those links. For example, you can unlink a cause from its hazards, or archive controls that were only used by that cause.

Archived items are clearly marked with an (ARCHIVED) prefix and hidden from your working view by default, while staying fully available for audit. Use the Archived filter in the hazard log to bring them back into view whenever you need them.

Hazard Log Graphs

The graphs at the top of the hazard log now show summary statistics at a glance: total hazards and controls, plus the breakdown of residual risk, hazard status and control status. They update as you filter by product, so you can see where each product stands in seconds.

New Sidebar and Navigation

We have overhauled the look and feel of Assuric's sidebar and navigation to provide a more modern look, and improved navigation throughout the platform.

You can use the keyboard shortcuts cmd/ctrl+ k to search and immediately jump to frameworks and key areas of the platform.

Other changes this month

Document Editor Improvements

We've aligned PDF exports with both the in-platform editor and popular editors like Google Docs, so your documents look the same wherever they're viewed:

  • Consistent fonts between the web editor and exported PDFs

  • Proportionately sized tables, so wide tables no longer overflow or squash in export

  • Slightly smaller default font size, to better mirror other document editors and give a consistent experience

The editor itself gets the same treatment, with a clean, consistent type scale across headings and body text, so what you write is what your auditors see.

What else is coming?

We're continuing to invest heavily in MCP and AI capabilities, with more ways for your assistant to work alongside your team across Assuric. We also have a round of QMS updates on the way. As always, we'd love your feedback, so let us know what you'd like to see next!
