Cyber Essentials - new Danzell Question Set
April brings the release of a revision of the UK Cyber Essentials self-assessment questionnaire.
What is new in the Danzell Question Set?
The new Danzell Question Set went live on April 26th and brings additional clarification of scope questions, alongside a few minor revisions to the scheme's requirements - notably a mandate for all cloud services to support MFA.
Specifically:
A6.4: Are all high-risk or critical security updates and vulnerability fixes for operating systems and router and firewall firmware installed within 14 days of release?
A6.5: Are all high-risk or critical security updates and vulnerability fixes for applications (including any associated files and extensions) installed within 14 days of release?
Non-compliance with these questions will now result in an automatic failure.
Renewing Cyber Essentials on the Danzell question set
The new question set comes alongside version 3.3 of the supporting Requirements for Infrastructure document . As always during framework updates, Assuric fully supports the new set of requirements with progress and gaps automatically transfered with no additional input!
The latest revision of the question set is can be found and can be completed fully in-platform, alongside expert support during annual renewal.
Product-Scoped Templates
Managing similar classes of compliance documents across multiple products is one of the largest pain-points Assuric can help alleviate. Custom templates have been extended and can now be assigned a base template - for example you may have several custom templates based all classed as a 'Clinical Risk Management Plan'.
When tracking compliance task sets for a product, you will receive suggestions based on the appropriate custom templates which can be automatically generated and scoped to a product.
What else and what next?
This article touches a few of the main platform headlines for April and comes alongside various other interface and workflow enhancements which you'll find in-platform.
We're set for an exciting summer period for the Platform and are hard at work implementing support for new features in Ask Assuric, overhauled controlled document quality management system (QMS) functionality, and trialling early releases for a platform API and MCP server.
As always, if you have any thoughts and suggestions - or would like to be involved in beta-testing new features - then reach out to the Assuric Team!
