Introduction to Tasks and Requirements

View, assign, and manage tasks and requirements across your organisation

Managing Tasks and Requirements

The Assuric platform allows you to view, assign, and manage tasks and requirements across your organisation. Tasks are linked to framework requirements and can be customised, assigned, and tracked.

Understanding Tasks and Requirements

  • Requirements are verbatim statements from the framework (e.g., Does your organisation have a privacy notice?).

  • Tasks are actionable steps to meet those requirements (e.g., Create a privacy notice).

  • Clicking on a requirement shows its associated tasks, and vice versa - clicking on a task shows all mapped requirements

Step 1: Access the Tasks Overview

  1. Navigate to the Tasks Overview page from the left-hand menu.

  2. Tasks are organised into sections, such as:

    • Policies

    • Organisation-specific tasks

    • Product-specific tasks

  3. Use the categories or framework filters to narrow down tasks.

Top tip: Use the My Tasks filter to view tasks assigned to you.

Step 2: Managing Task Status and Assignments

  1. Assign tasks to yourself or others by tagging them.

  2. Move tasks into a preferred order via drag-and-drop.

  3. Bulk actions:

    • Select multiple tasks or all tasks in a section.

    • Assign them to a user, set status, or update due dates.

Step 3: Task Completion and Tracking

  • Once a task is completed, set its status to Complete.

  • Completed tasks can still be reviewed or reassigned if needed.

  • Task progress is visible across the overview page and framework views.

Optional extra: Creating Custom Tasks

  1. Click Add New Task.

  2. Enter a task name (example: Prepare for Audit).

  3. Select a task category (e.g., Audit).

  4. Set a due date.

  5. Map the task to relevant framework requirements.

  6. Set status and assign to a user.

  7. Optionally, reorder the task within the section.
